Akhilesh obtained his M. Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in the area of materials science and engineering from IIT (Bombay) and NTU (Singapore), respectively. Akhilesh has several years' R&D experience in the areas of nanomaterials, energy storage (Li-ion batteries) and fuel cells. He pursued his postdoctoral work at Risø DTU National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy (Denmark) in the area of solid oxide fuel cells. Prior to joining Tel-Tek, he performed and managed various R&D, T&V and intellectual property related activities in the area of Li-ion batteries at Miljøbil Grenland AS (Norway). He has several international patent applications in his credit. He has also published a number of articles in various international journals, book and conference proceedings. He has reviewed several research articles for leading international journals and is currently a member of the roster of reviewers for Metallurgical and Materials Transactions E, Materials for Energy Systems (USA). His current research interests are powder technology for offshore applications, nanomaterials, energy conversion (thermoelectric generators) and energy storage.
